When is the 2018 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon?

The 2018 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon will be held Sunday, March 18th.

What time does the race start?

6:30 am – Wheelchairs
6:42 am – Handcycles
6:45 am – Elite Women
6:55 am – Elite Men & Full Field

Where does the race start and finish?

The race starts at Dodger Stadium (1000 Elysian Park Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90012). The race ends in Santa Monica on Ocean Avenue at the intersection of Ocean Ave and California Avenue.

The Marathon course is point to point. What’s the best way to get to the start?

Complimentary shuttles are available to participants from Union Station in Los Angeles and Santa Monica City Hall. Runners also have the option of being dropped off at the Start at Dodger Stadium. For more info visit our Parking & Shuttles page.

Is there a time limit to complete the Marathon?

Yes. The 6 hour, 30 minute time limit means race officials will reopen streets to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis at a 15:00 per mile pace. Participants still on the course at this time will be required to move to the sidewalks and obey all traffic signals. Participants who cross the finish line after 6:30:00 are not guaranteed to be recognized as Official Finishers and are not guaranteed a medal or finishing time.

Registration

When does registration for the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon open?

Multi Race Challenges are open for registration (Conqur LA Challenge, LA Double Play, Triple 5K Tour of LA)!

Registration for the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon will open in September 2019.

Can I get a refund, donate my entry, transfer my entry to someone else, or roll it over to next year?

No. Per our official event rules and guidelines: Sale, transfer, alteration or duplication of race entry/bib is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events. All entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be deferred toward a future event.

If I provide medical documentation of my injury or pregnancy, will you give me a refund?

No. Please refer to our official event rules and refund policy found here.

Can I defer my entry to next year if I am unable to run this year?

No, participants cannot defer their entries to the next year in the event they are unable to run.

Is there an age requirement to run the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon?

Yes. Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon registrants must be at least 16 years of age on race day, unless they are a part of the Students Run LA (SRLA) program. No exceptions.

How can I make a change to my registration information (i.e. misspelling, address, e-mail, T-shirt size)?

E-mail info@goconqur.com with “Change of Information" in the subject line or call the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon office at 213-542-3000 and a member of our staff will assist you.

I didn’t receive/deleted a payment confirmation e-mail after I registered. Can you resend it to me?

The Course

Where can I find a Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon course map?

Click Here for the 2016 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon course map. The Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon course is a net downhill course that runs from Dodger Stadium to Ocean Blvd in Santa Monica.

How many Aid Stations are on the course?

There are 22 Aid Stations on the course. Water and Gatorade Endurance Formula will be provided at all Aid Stations along the course.

Is there food available on the course?

There will be two CLIF SHOT® Energy Gels stations on course (Mile 12 and Mile 19).

How long is the course open?

Is the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon a Boston Qualifier?

Yes, the course has been certified by USA Track & Field and is a Boston Marathon qualifier.

Can I run with an iPod/headphones?

Yes. USATF, the national governing body of the sport, recently amended its ban on headphones, iPods and similar devices. It is recommended that athletes keep only one ear bud in to be able to hear directions from race officials or emergency vehicles. Athletes competing for prize money are not allowed to use electronic devices such as headphones and ear pieces.

Are skates, skateboards, bikes or carriages of any kind allowed on the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon?

No, if you are caught on the Marathon course with any of these, you will be directed off the course immediately.

Expo & Packet Pick-Up

Where and when is the Health & Fitness Expo and Packet Pick-Up?

The 2018 Health & Fitness Expo and Packet Pick-Up will be held on Friday, March 16 from 10:00am - 7:00pm and Saturday, March 17 from 9:00am-5:00pm at the Los Angeles Convention Center in South Hall G & H.

Can a friend pick up my packet for me if I cannot attend the Health & Fitness Expo?

No. You must pick up your own Participant Packet (which includes your event-issued bib number and timing device) at the Health & Fitness Expo during regularly scheduled hours. There will be no exceptions. Please plan accordingly.

Do I have to pick up my Participant Packet, Bag and T-shirt at the Health & Fitness Expo?

Yes. All participants must pick up their event-issued bib number, timing device, technical t-shirt and participant bag at the Health & Fitness Expo. We do not mail out participant packets, bags or t-shirts that are not picked up at the Health & Fitness Expo; no exceptions. There is NO race day packet pick-up.

Can I pick up my Participant Packet, Participant Bag and T-shirt on the day of the race?

There is NO race day Participant Packet and Bag Pick-Up.

I am interested in purchasing booth space at the Health & Fitness Expo, or promoting in the Virtual Goodie Bag, who should I contact?

Start Corrals

What are Seeded Start Corrals?

Start Corrals A, B, C, D and E are seeded placement of the fastest 7,300 participants based on their recent marathon times. The Open Corral is self-seeded placement of participants by expected net finish time. Assignment to the Seeded Start Corrals is based on a submitted qualifying time run in a recent marathon and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Can I switch from one Start Corral to another on race day?

Participants can move backward to a “slower" Start Corral, but not forward to a “faster" Start Corral on race day.

What time do the Seeded Corrals open and close on race day?

The Seeded Corrals will open at 5:00am and will close promptly at 6:40am. Please plan accordingly to allow enough time to secure your place in your assigned corral.

Do you offer pace teams?

Yes. Participants are welcome to join the CLIF BAR Marathon Pace Team. Participants can sign up with a CLIF BAR Pace Team at the Health & Fitness Expo. For more information on CLIF BAR Marathon Pace Team, Click Here.
